Reticulopodia

Reticulopodia (also known as reticulopods) are a type of pseudopodia, which are temporary protrusions of the cell membrane and cytoplasm that allow cells to move and capture prey. Reticulopodia are characterized by their branching, net-like structure, which is formed by the branching of cytoplasmic strands.

Reticulopodia are primarily found in certain types of protozoa, such as radiolarians and foraminiferans. These organisms use their reticulopodia to capture prey, such as bacteria and other small organisms, and to move through their environment. The complex structure of reticulopodia allows for a high degree of flexibility and versatility in movement and feeding.
